Why iTAXI exists
On ride-hailing apps, someone always pays too much.
Drivers give up a share of every ride in commission. Riders watch the price climb at rush hour, at night or when it rains. iTAXI is an Algerian startup, built to fix both problems at once.
For drivers
The problem: a commission taken from every ride.
0% commission.
Drivers pay a fixed subscription of 2,500 DA a month. After that, everything they earn is theirs. The more they drive, the more they make.
For riders
The problem: a price that changes with the hour and demand.
A fixed price, day and night.
The price is worked out from kilometres and minutes. You see it before you confirm, and that is what you pay, at rush hour like any other time.
A well-paid driver stays, and gets to you fast. A rider who pays a fair price comes back. Our job is that balance.
A simple idea.
Getting around town shouldn’t mean waiting by the roadside or haggling over the fare when you arrive.
iTAXI finds you a driver in seconds, in a private car or a taxi. It is the first app to include taxis.
